need to include OOo_install_guide.pdf as part of OOo 1.1

Hi, People under unix/linux are still messing up the install process causing lots of problems. We need to do three things to "fix" this for OOo 1.0.1 1. highlight use of the fixed "install" script on the website 2. include a short INSTALL.TXT file that explains how to do an install under Unix/Linux right into the installer tarball 3. Include the OOo_install_guide.pdf (with updated OOo 1.0 screenshots) that describes the "install" script and fully documents the install and uninstall options right into the installer tarball. This only makes sense. Then users will download just the tarball and upon unpacking will see the INSTALL.TXT and the OOo-install_guide.pdf right away and the number of messed up installs and complaints like issue 1794 will go away. Is it clear to all release engineers that the setup guide has to be included to the installation set manually. Is that documented somewhere ?
I'm not aware of a release process documentation which includes that. Even though I remember having done that last time (plus localised), the danger is, of course, that it could be forgotten. Would be handy to have a release process 'checklist' style document.
removed ooo1.0 keyword in favour of target milestone "OOo 1.0.2".
Kevin, this is still on 1.0.2. Is that correct or should it be targeted 1.0.3 or should it be closed?

if there are updated to 1.1 installation guides I will include them in installation sets, but i'm not sure if the instalaltion guides have been updated, and reflect 1.1 not 1.0.x

the document is very impressive. Some issues: fonts in adobe acrobat 6.0 for OS X 10.2 appear wavy; in Preview for Mac OS X they appear okay. images are not uniformly loading when viewed via Adobe Acrobat. There is no mac os x installation page or section? louis
