Error saving simple document as OpenOffice.org text doc/text doc template

*Error saving a simple document to file (OpenOffice.org text document(*.swx) and OpenOffice.org text document template (*.swx) only). *opening saved file crashes application. *file is not saved in human readable form (will send if required). *reproducable: 1.File->New 2.add text to text document 3.File->Save As (ie: simple and complex file paths) 4.SaveAs->Filename and enter filename (leaving default file-type selection) 5.Error dialog (message as follows) *OpenOffice.org 1.0 Error dialog (red circle, white cross) *Message: "Warning saving the document test.swx: Write Error, Error in writing sub-document settings.xml" 6 Press Error dialog -> Ok (exception caught) 7 File saved (file exists). 8. File->Exit (close app) CHECK FILE CAN BE OPENED 8. Programs->OpenOffice.org->OpenOffice.org Writer (Start OpenOffice.org 1.0 Writer) 9. File->Open-FileName (previously saved file - test.swx) 10. Error Dialog: OpenOffice.org 1.0 Error loading document file:///H:/test.swx: Read-Error. Error reading file. (OK) 11. Warning (yellow triangle, shreik) OpenOffice 1.0 An unrecoverable error has occured. All modified files have been saved and can probably be recovered at program restart. (OK) 12. Error Dialog (red circle, white cross) test.swx - OpenOffice.org 1.0: soffice.exe Application error - The exception unknown (0xe6d7363) occured in hte application at location 0x77e8f142. (OK/CANCEL) 13. Warning dialog: An unrecoverable error has occured. All modified files have been saved and can probably be recovered at program restart. (OK) 14. Another exception dialog 15. App crashes. Notes: System: MS Win200 5.00.2195 SP2 Computer: x86, Family 6 Model 7 stepping 261,616 KB RAM

Please help us to analyse your problem. Have a look at the path for temporary files by opening the dialog Tools/Options/Paths. Is it empty or contains unreadable characters. Thanks Stefan
Peter, OOo 1.0.1 has been released. If this problem still exists in OOo 1.0.1, please reopen this issue and post step by step instructions on how to reproduce this issue. Thank you for using and supporting OOo. Closing this issue for now.
