Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 4689
Import/Export of word doc crashes Word
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
I have a document (mail me at jasonhihn @danfoss.com to get it) that when opened, and resaved to doc by OO, results in a Word error ("There is not enough memory or disk space to update the display") (GDI problem?). Of most prominance is the graphic that appears on the top left corner of the 1st page (in word) In OO, it appears as 1/2 the page on every page and several of the graphics are 'X'ed out. I think this is what is making word crash - the graphics are probably all copies of the first, rather than being all the same one. (Even though there is only supposed to be one) It's only 15 pages long but comes out to be 27 as a result of the added graphics, and my system has 128M ram. I did not make it, but it looks like to be a vector (wordart) drawing.

Found I could attatch the file. No need to email me.
JA->MRU: reassigned to you...
Yes, this problem is already know. I already check it with an internal build. The public build including the fix will be something like a OpenOffice 656 or higher build number.
Will work with openOffice 643C.
