Description nhrosen 2002-05-08 18:49:40 UTC
(pardon the expression) NT4 / SP6
1 GHz AMD Athlon, 256 MB RAM
2 drives, 6GB & 20GB, c:\tmp, d:\temp

On trying to save as ".rtf" a relatively simple document opened and edited as
OpenOffice ".sxw", the program crashes rendering the normal "saving memory
to . . . " box and removing OpenOffice Quickstarter.

The same scenario occurs when trying to save the document as .doc, MS WORD
97/2000.

Subsequently, most saves of any kind from OpenOffice word processing generate a
crash unless the *.tmp files are removed from the directory of the file being
edited.

The crashes do not seem to be consistant, as I can sometimes save from one type
of document to another several, even many, times with no problem.

Hi there, just thought I'd throw in my two (2) cents in case you were bored,

norm

Please help us to analyse your problem.
Have a look at the path for temporary files by opening the dialog
Tools/Options/Paths.
Is it empty or contains unreadable characters.
Thanks Stefan

Hi Norm, did you have a chance to test OOo 1.0.1?
This should be fixed. And we aren't bored :-)
Thanks, Stefan
