Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 4635
Can't select "Bold" as typeface when editing paragraph style
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
I am experiencing the following problem for some TrueType fonts. The "B" button and CTRL-B work as expected to explicitly bold / unbold selected text. However, when I go to edit a paragraph style and select the same font, "Bold" is not an option for the typeface field. I can type "Bold" into the text box for that field, and it displays correctly in the preview pane, but the setting does not seem to be saved when I close the dialog. I have X configured to use TrueType fonts with xfstt, and it may be only those fonts for which this is a problem.
Reassigned to Ulf.
I have the same problem. Running Linux Mandrake 8.2. It is very annoying - there seems to be NO way to change a style to be bold! Importing documents from SO52 with bold styles works fine, but if I modify the style and just VIEWS the 'Font' tab, the boldness disappears forever. I would very much like a quick fix or a workaround for this bug, beacurse I need this functionality (bold styles) on my 300 pages book written in StarOffice.
This must be a duplicate of issue 4366, becaurse the same workaround works (remove pspfontcache files).
US->CP: Can you confirm that this issue is also caused by issue 4366?
I think so
should be fixed in the next release. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 4366 ***
