Description vdvo 2002-05-08 03:54:02 UTC
I need a utility to automatically convert Excel XLS to XML for batch
processing. I currently use xlhtml, but it is far - very far - from perfect. I
hear that OpenOffice's import filters are very good, so it seems stupid to
reinvent the wheel. I would like to use OpenOffice's filters, but downloading
the many megabytes just because of this is impossible for me, having only a
dial-up connection. I think there must be many other people besides me who
would very much welcome separately downloadable document converters. Please,
pretty please...

I'm sorry but at the moment it would too much effort to provide
every single feature as a standalone download.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
