Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 45883
Menu entries were not created when upgrading
Last modified: 2005-04-06 23:37:14 UTC
When upgrading from previous build (1.9.84) to 1.9.87, no menu entries were created. System: Fedora Core 3. I installed all rpms except mandrake and suse menus. After I removed an installation and then installed again, all menu entries were created.
probably duplicate to 46536 Could you try again (install old version, then do an upgrade) and check the link in /etc?
Tried it again. After upgrade the link in /etc/ points to a directory from an older version.
and is there a new link in the old direcory pointing to the new one? /etc/openofficeorg-1.9/openoffice.org1.9.87 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ #################### ^ the old link pointing to the old version # new link pointing to the new version = you have the new link created in /opt/openofficeorg1.9.84/ instead of /etc/ If yes, then this is a duplicate, if not further investigation is necessary.
Yes. The new link created in /opt/openofficeorg-1.9.
Then my assumption was right and this is a duplicate of issue 46536 Thank you for having a second look. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 46536 ***
closing duplicate. trigger doesn't replace the already generated link (ln takes this as target-direcory for the link)
