Description pavel 2005-03-23 21:53:19 UTC
When upgrading from previous build (1.9.84) to 1.9.87, no menu entries were
created. System: Fedora Core 3. I installed all rpms except mandrake and suse
menus. After I removed an installation and then installed again, all menu
entries were created.

probably duplicate to 46536

Could you try again (install old version, then do an upgrade) and check the link
in /etc?
Comment 2 pavel 2005-04-04 20:37:49 UTC
Tried it again. After upgrade the link in /etc/ points to a directory from an
older version.
Comment 3 lohmaier 2005-04-04 21:01:38 UTC
and is there a new link in the old direcory pointing to the new one?

/etc/openofficeorg-1.9/openoffice.org1.9.87
     ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ####################
^ the old link pointing to the old version
# new link pointing to the new version

= you have the new link created in /opt/openofficeorg1.9.84/ instead of /etc/

If yes, then this is a duplicate, if not further investigation is necessary.
Comment 4 pavel 2005-04-05 08:47:12 UTC
Yes. The new link created in /opt/openofficeorg-1.9.
Comment 5 lohmaier 2005-04-06 23:36:21 UTC
Then my assumption was right and this is a duplicate of issue 46536

Thank you for having a second look.

closing duplicate.

trigger doesn't replace the already generated link (ln takes this as
target-direcory for the link)
