A few students in our school district have had problems opening their
presentations.  When we open the presentation we can see part of the page
flickering and OpenOffice locks up.

The presentation was created in OOo 1.1.0
It has the same behavior on my laptop in OOo 1.1.2

I was able to open the file by checking "read only" on the "Open" dialog window.
 I can then save it and it will not crash OOo.

This opens up without any problem in OOo1.1.4 and a current internal version.
Maybe there are some problems with user rights on your system that prevent you
from opening the file. Can you check this please? Thanks.
