Description vladimirk 2005-03-11 12:41:53 UTC
I'm using OO 1.9.79. Windows XP (home edition). Output of "ver" command is
"Microsoft Windows XP [ВерÑÐ¸Ñ 5.1.2600]".

I'm experiensed with the crash of OO writer. Here is a steps to reproduce the
problem:

1. Create new text document
2. type the following symbols (withput quotation marks) "e.g. hello"
3. press space
4. You'll see that OO capitalized first letter in "hello" world, i.e. the result
text will be "e.g. Hello ".
5. Press Ctrl+Z to undo auto-capitalization
6. Immediate crash

Hello Vladimir,

this works here on Linux with english-US milestone85 downloaded from
ftp://ftp.linux.cz/pub/localization/OpenOffice.org/devel/680/SRC680_m85/Build-1/
(there are also Windows builds available)

Regards,
Max

->vladimirk: I neither can reproduce it. Which OOo UI language do you have?

Comment 6 vladimirk 2005-03-14 13:24:55 UTC
First, I'm not talking about Linux. I'm using OO under Windows XP.

I have 2 keyboard languages: English and russian. The default language is
English and my test case is in english. OO UI language is also English. Please
try to follow my instructions step-by-step. I've just managed to reproduce this
problem at the second machine in our office (absolutely the same configuation).

If you need I'd be happy to provide any additional info.

Unable to reproduce on XP Pro with all updates EXCEPT SP2.
Comment 8 vladimirk 2005-03-15 09:31:31 UTC
SP2 is installed and all currently available (via Windows update) patches are
also installed.

FME->TL: English office, SRC680m86, new document, Format - Character -> set
language to German, type 'XForms ', undo the autocorrection -> Crash.

Comment 11 eric.savary 2005-03-22 15:21:26 UTC
Retarget to 2.0

Reminder for me: the fix *may* brake the insertion of undone autocorrections in
the exception list. The exceptions will be written in the list but the non
autocorrection won't work anymore. I'll have to check this...

Files changed
svx:
- svxacorr.cxx new revision: 1.45.116.1

Crash wil no longer occur but word that gets undo'ed will no longer be added to
LoadWrdSttExceptList. That is for that word the autocorrection will likely not
behave as expected now.

Odd, with OO 1.9.87 on WinXP I get this error in a 20+ document but not in a new
one .... might be because of style property changes I made? No idea.
