When I start OO as a normal user, there always appears the import address book
dialog and the OO-mainwindow crashes in background. When I then press any button
in the dialog, it also crashes with an "unrecoverable error" message and soffice
returns to the console-prompt.

As root user, OO seems to act as normal.

The appearence of the import adress book dialog seems to be an
idenpendent bug (see issue 3082).

An addtion to the crash: OO only crashes using Gnome 1.4 (with Sawfish
or Windowmaker). No Problems using KDE 3.0 or XSession.

Windowmaker 0.80 works, Gnome 2.0 (beta 01052002) does NOT.

Is this a duplicate of issue 4494?  Please check if the workaround
there helps you.

The mentioned workaround in issue 4494 solved the problem (tested with
Debian Woody and Gnome 1.4). Thank You for the hint!

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
