Description issues@www 2001-02-16 11:38:23 UTC
When I try to load unattend.doc, openoffice hangs about at 60% of the file.

It starts importing but then stops and takes 100% of the CPU.

The file is unattend.doc. I can upload it, OR, you can take it from the
microsoft support site, it's the manual to make unattended installation of
windows 2000.

Reproducible in 619 as well. I reduced the size of the doc (444kB/154 pages ->
80kB/26 pages) by using MS Word2000 with the loop still occuring. Please do so
as well next time so that debugging is easier.

Issue accepted, its certainly a filer bug.
Comment 4 caolanm 2001-03-15 16:43:56 UTC
This document has too many bookmarks (3716), many on the same positions. As the
bookmarks theres an exponential rise in time to handle the document. Needs a
little experimentation to pinpoint if this is a filter or a core issue.
Comment 5 caolanm 2001-03-16 13:18:41 UTC
Quoting text to make bookmarks far too slow for very long microsoft bookmarks.
New optimized version checked in which speeds this us hugely.

Fixed for next build.
Comment 6 caolanm 2001-03-28 08:49:21 UTC
Much speedier and looking good in 626a5
Comment 7 michael.ruess 2001-03-29 12:53:15 UTC
Yeah, in 626a it looks suitable for this kind of document.
Comment 8 michael.ruess 2001-07-24 11:08:30 UTC
Fixed, so I close this one.
