Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 4183
Emacs key-bindings
Last modified: 2010-06-15 23:27:07 UTC
Summary pretty much says it all. It would be really nice if I could set the key bindings such that I could navigate the curser in a document with emacs-friendly key strokes. Thanks again for all the awesome hard work!
SBA->Steven: Don't know what you mean. Try again. "Step by step for dummies" of what you get and expect would leave no question. Reassigned to Christian.
I have the same problem. At the very least, I'd like to be able to use CTRL-F, CTRL-B, CTRL-N, CTRL-P, CTRL-A, and CTRL-E for cursor movement. Those keys translate to cursor-right, cursor-left, cursor-up, cursor-down, Home, and End. In addition, the following would be useful: CTRL-D = Delete, CTRL-V = Page-Down, ALT-V = Page-up.
Whoops, I messed up. CTRL-N is Cursor-Down (mneumonic: Next Line) CTRL-P is Cursor-Up (Previous Line) CTRL-F is Cursor-Right (forward) CTRL-B is Cursor-Left (back)
Reassiged to Bettina.
