Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 41230
Writer 1.9.69 can??t save changes in large password protected files
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
After creating a large (around 100k) text file in Writer 1.9.69 (in Win XP) and saving it, if I open it, change anything, and try to save it, Writer displays a error: “Error saving the document XXX.odt: General Error. General input/output error.†I have to save the file under a different name (which Writer does without any problem).
reassigned to ES.
.
Please attach a sample document
Created attachment 21863 [details] Here´s an example of a file that provoques the error. The password is "teste" (like the file name).
ES->DVO: same thing with m73. I tried to delete everything possible (text, styles objects), still the same error as long as the document is saved with a password. Any idea?
As fas as I can tell, this bug only happens with files over a certain size. I´m not a programmer, but could it be some kind of buffer problem???
reproducible with SRC680m75 on WinXP
dvo->fme: Please have a look at this. i suspect it's a problem in the package, but one would need some investigation into whether this actually is the case. The 'general input/output error' is raised in sw/source/filter/xml/wrtxml.cxx, usually as the result of an exception being thrown somewhere. If so, the trick is to find out who, where and why the exception was thrown.
ES->FME: as you said, it's fixed in srv680m77.
