Description carlosguix 2005-01-21 10:59:36 UTC
In InDesign CS desktop publishing programm from Adobe have a PlugIn from
emsoftware.com call InData.
With this I can place all the data that there are in a spreedsheet keep it in
format text with tab separator.
When a keep de Excel sheet in OOO 1.4 or newst 1.9.69 in format csv with tab, I
can import the data, but the "0" (zero) that are after the decimal point are not
imported. With Excel txt format works always perfect.
I think is a big problem because this publishing market for InDesign is
encreasing very fast and the InData PlugIn is very popular.
Thanks for your help and regards

Comment 4 lohmaier 2005-02-01 19:35:10 UTC
please only reply using issuezilla, not per mail or things may get lost.

I think I got your problem wrong.

You save a file as csv and inDesign cannot handle the file properly, right?

You mean you want to import 1,20 but OOo stores only "1,2" right?
Maybe it is possible to use text strings instead of numbers to bypass this problem.

Anyway, please attach a sample doucment (the source) and the file exported with
Excel and the file exported with Calc.

Hi,

stumbled over this Issue and thought I've seen this before in an other Issue.
And yes, this is a double to Issue 4925. So I close this one as double.

Frank

sorry that I did not answer earlier. But your descritption were not clear to me
and since you only added the files without answering my question, I skipped this
one and did other tasks...

So my assumtion "You mean you want to import 1,20 but OOo stores only "1,2" right?"

Is correct and indeed this is a duplicate.

Sorry, I'm not expert on this.

You are right: So my assumtion "You mean you want to import 1,20 but OOo stores
only "1,2" right?". Also 1,00 OOo stores only 1.

Thanks and regards
