Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 40930
Customizing non-breaking characters
Last modified: 2021-11-01 21:17:13 UTC
The non-breaking characters that one can enter is the space and the dash. Other characters are treated as text and are non-breaking in a word, such as +,=,*. As I have noticed there is no way to have a non-breaking parenthesis or bracket, without entering a non-breaking space before. It would be nice to have this possibility, for example, when trying to enter a simple mathematical equation with a parenthesis, or even a non-separable text with a parenthesis in it.
