Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 40681
Can't indent footnotes separation line
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:35:42 UTC
If I change the paragraph style of footnotes in Indent & Spacing Tab, I can indent the footnote number to the right. Instead the line that divide page and footnotes remain aligned to the left border of the page itself and it's not possible to align with the indented footnote number position. That is, it's not possible to change the properties of footnotes divition line. Davide
I can reproduce this bug in open office 1.1.4 with window XP. The following is the detail of reproduce steps: 1.Click in the footnote, press "F11" to open the "Stylist", right-click "Footnote" in the list, and then choose "Modify". 2.Choose "Indents&Spacing". Increasing the number in "First line" until the footnote is in the end. Press "OK". You will see all of footnotes are aligned to the right border of the page, but the separate line will still stay in the left border of page. I also try another way to indent the footnote number: 1.Click in the footnote, press "F11" to open the "Stylist", right-click "Footnote" in the list, and then choose "Modify". 2.Choose "Alignment". In the Options area, select "Right/Bottom" and then press "OK". You will see the same result as above. If the footnote number is aligned to the right, the separator line should be aligned to the right, too.
Currently it is only possible to align the Footnote seperator left/centered/right on the page. Additionally it is possible to enter the length of the line relative to page width. It should be possible to enter the horizontal position of the footnote absolutely.
