When I start OO the first time I log in it works fine. If I close it and start
again it crashes just after the empty document shows. No messages in my terminal
window.

I'm using Linux Mandrake 8.1 and OO Swedish version

It seems running setup and repairing the install sometimes fixes the
problem temporarily.
I did a net install, btw.

Using gnome ?, if so this is almost certainly issue 4494

I haven't seen this in a long time even before I upgraded to 1.0.1,
and yes, I'm using Gnome. I think it may have been connected to an old
file from Star Office 5.x in my home directory.

Bo, have you found a working solution to this problem?

Did the Gnome fix in 4494 resolve the issue?

I've since upgraded both OO and Linux and haven't run into that
particular problem more. 

I have another problem though as OO crashes when I open it the first
time but not the second. Should probably enter a new issue for this
unless it is well known. Mandrake 9.0 and the OO that came with it,
running Gnome

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved
