Lookup Function Behavior is not intuitive

Using the lookup function I found that if the value I was looking for was not present, the function would resolve to the closest match. This produced bad results as I was trying to add up some numbers. If it cant find the value then it should return nothing otherwise you will not notice and think everything is working correctly.
