Description mfedyk 2004-12-23 22:10:07 UTC
In Word 2k, double clicking on the image brought up paint via OLE.

In OOo it is a picture, and the object information is lost after import.

OLE objects are currently not supported by OO's RTF filter.
MRU->FLR: I hand this one to you as kind of "Reminder" that this once will be
implemented.

In our case, PDFs were stored in the OLE stream. Users were unable to open the
attached documents. I guess when you click on the OLE links, OOo should
possibly just give a SaveAs dialog and allow the user to save them as a separate
file. OOo in theory won't be able to natively render all types of attached files.

Still not fixed in OpenOffice 3.0 Beta 2. I've attached a file that contains a
Chemdraw v6 OLE object- something that works well when importing from a doc file.

Doh, I'm sorry. Danged issue tracker went to the next and I attached the doc to
the wrong one.
