Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 39514
Hebrew numbering lost on export to PDF/PPT
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:08:32 UTC
A document was created in OOo m65 with a slide containing a list using Hebrew (native) numbering. When exporting to PDF, all the Hebrew numering where replaced by bullets. To repro: * Make sure that CTL and asian language support are enabled in OOo. * Create a new presentation. * Create a slide with a list- in the numbering/bullets choose "custom" and then "native" to get the Hebrew numbering. * Export to PDF. Expected result: * The PDF should contain the Hebrew numbering Actual result: * the hebrew numbering are lost, and replaced by bullets.

Hmm... it seems that the same thing happens when exporting to PowerPoint 2003 (which supports Hebrew numbering). File attached.
Created attachment 20793 [details] PPT version- no Hebrew numbering either
Opening the bugdoc in a current internal version I have - bullets on the left side - questionmarks on the right - no numbering at all Exporting this to pdf and ppt gives different results. @sforbes: Would it be possible to attach a screenshot to see how it should be? Thanks for your help. Reassigned to Christian.

The numbering is also lost when exporting to MS Word format.
ayaniger->cl: Have you been able to look at this problem?
Could this issue be assigned to me? I have done some work on this issue already, and I have an interim solution.
The export looks ok to me when running 2.2.
chinese numbering lost on save to ppt.(oo2.3.1)
works just fine in 2.4.0 (debian sid) on both Impress and Writer. (i can attach original documents and exported pdf files, if necessary) please see if you can close this one :-)
I tried exporting the test file on OOo 3.0 Debian Sarge. The PDF was fine, but the Hebrew numbering was lost in the PPT file.
correction: on Debian Etch, not Sarge.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
