Unable to change component if subcomponent doesn't match

open an existing spreadsheet issue e.g. issue38317 (best would be to not touch the issue and submit a similar test issue) try to change component/subcomponent from 'spreadsheet/programming' to 'framework/scripting' -> this action isn't possible because the subcomponents doesn't match try to workaroud by setting 'framework/programming' and submit -> this action returns an error because the subcomponents doesn't match the only possibility to go ahead is to find a matching subcomponent and do two steps 'spreadsheet/programming' -> 'framework/code' -> 'framework/scripting' the easiest way to resolve the isssue would be to dynamicly update the subcomponent listbox in the IssueZilla UI when the component is changed
Hi Peter, you are right, there is no direct way to change from component1/subcomponent1 to component2/subcomponent2 in IZ. But a change in the component doesn't result in an error. In IZ you'll see a form asking for the values for the fields version, target milestone, subcomponent. So I tend to close the issue as RESOLVED/INVALID. Greetings, Stefan

Hi Frank, try to change component/subcomponent back and forth between *Testproduct/ui_test and framework/scripting -> fails in IBiS -> success using native OOo Peter
