Whenever I work with a form in the word processor and copy a button (hoping to 
capture an image in the clipboard) and try to paste this normally into draw, 
the entire suite crashes.  It appears that since draw cannot handle forms that 
this causes a crash.  If I try to paste as an image/graphic of some sort, it 
simply pastes a blank image.  The crashing is a repeatable error.

I can reproduce the bug in the latest OpenOffice.org version (1.0)
I get allways a crash when I copy paste a form from one application
into another.

known bug.
Fixed in xml/xmloff/source/forms/officeforms.cxx, rev 1.2.16.1, aka
"the next snapshot".

ps:
"draw cannot handle forms" is slightly wrong .... It's just that the
button which allows access to creation of forms is not visible by
default for whatever reasons.
