taska, can you please take care of this.
Comment 3 lsuarezpotts 2002-04-09 21:28:04 UTC
Hi, to clarify,
What Martin wants here is access to the same upload/dl box
(sf1.mirror.openoffice.org) to which Sander already has access.
that is my understanding, anyway. The key attached hereto
would be thus to enable scp uploads of files to that box. These
files would be automatically copied over to the ny1.mirror. The
requirement is then that there be a filter so that all the volunteer
mirrors don't also copy these files when they rsync.

I've requested this of the operations team (PCN9097). They may,
however, need clarification on my transmission of Louis's comments.
Comment 5 stx123 2002-04-10 18:40:06 UTC
AFAIK a rsync daemon is not able to filter.
Only the client would be able to ignore the "miscellaneous". This has
been discussed in the depending issue #3466.

Comment 6 stx123 2002-04-15 16:34:08 UTC
Any further clarification needed?
When will the key be installed?
Comment 7 Unknown 2002-04-15 16:39:04 UTC
Apparently, yes, further clarification is needed. I need to discuss
this with Louis.
Comment 8 Unknown 2002-04-17 20:47:06 UTC
Reassigning to Louis, as he is working on the requirements with
operations.
Comment 9 stx123 2002-04-17 20:55:37 UTC
Louis, what are the requirements?
There is one key in usage (owned by sander).
What is the problem to install another one for Martin?

hi, Stefan.
Far as I know, there ought to be no issue whatsoever. However,
our ops team has felt it necessary to reappraise this request.
Am trying to, once again, negotiate a solution that is satisfactory.
Sorry for the delay.

there seems to be a dir called helpcontent. Is that the one this issue
is addressing? should this issue be closed?

reopening; didn't mean to close.

Comment 13 stx123 2002-04-23 00:23:51 UTC
This issue addresses installation of Martin's key.
As a workaround Martin asked Sander to upload.
Comment 14 lsuarezpotts 2002-04-23 00:32:16 UTC
thought as much.this issue remains open. I cannot guarantee when it
will be closed.

as a provision, we need then to instruct the mirrors not to rsync
/helpcontent.

Sorry, I have to reassign and insist on handling according to our
agreement. The ongoing internal discussion regarding issue 3466
doesn't come to results.

I have to ask for installation of Martin's key. What happens if
Sander - owner of the only upload key - is not available?

Please provide your feedback according to the agreed timeframes.

Please let us know if there are any problems.

resolving.
Comment 20 stx123 2002-06-06 01:07:04 UTC
Martin, could you verify please.
Comment 21 Martin Hollmichel 2002-06-06 18:45:29 UTC
kat, can you give me an example command line for how I should call the
scp (I'm not 100% sure about user name and path).
At the moment I get an "permission denied" and I don't know if I use
the wrong username, path or passphrase.
Comment 22 Unknown 2002-06-06 19:20:32 UTC
Martin,

You should use the "upload" user and be accessing
"/home/upload/openoffice/data/" as the base directory followed by your
target directory.

It would be best to create a local dir with the desired name and your
content in it, and scp that whole dir into
/home/upload/openoffice/data that way the xxx dir will be
automatically created.

For example:
scp -v -r <dir>
upload@sf1.mirror.openoffice.org:/home/upload/openoffice/data/helpcontent/.

If you are still having problems please include the commands you are
using and any debugging output.

Thank you
Kat
