reassigned to ES.
Please add a sample document (i.e screenshot). With which fonts does it happen?

Created attachment 19580 [details] sample english and japanese fonts for green on black test of antialias fonts
ES->US: I can't see any problem there. ES->mrosin: please add a screenshot of this "sickly" display. Which green do you use?
I will come back to this again next time I see a really sickly one. My guess is it was when I was looking at a document in Japanese using a Mincho (serif) style antialiased font. So it may not be so obvious a bug, may not be a bug at all.
This is part of a family of problems caused by using light fonts or difficult backgrounds. I used green or white text on olive often to save my eyes. I think choosing a different font will solve the problem of not being able to see a light colored one. However I just found (on 1.9.62 snapshot) that if you are using white font on black background, you cannot see the table grid! So you cannot edit a table when you are using an inverted display and that is indeed a bug. Please confirm.
@mrosin: 1.9.62 is slightly outdated; pls use a more up-to-date snapshot. Anyway, if reproducible, pls. open a new issue for the latter finding. Thank you.
no response for 2 weeks, closing, please reopen if you can reproduce with latest milestone build.
