Description Unknown 2002-03-30 05:18:32 UTC
I just removed 641c and installed 641d (during which I replayced all the old files when prompted).
I have a Win98SE on a PIII 800 MHZ, 512 SDRAM with more than 2GB free space in the partition.

When
Launching "Presentation", an error message appears:

"An unrecoverable error has
occurred.

All modified files have been saved and can
probably be recovered at program
restart."

When I click "OK", an illegal operation is reported by windows.

Fault log is
below

Problem avoided (not resolved) if "Start with Autopilot" option
in:
Options>Presentaion>General>New Document

is off (uncheck
box).

This can be done by accessing "options" from any of the other applications.

I can't reprodcue the crash but I got 3 issues about it. Please have
a look if you can reproduce the crash.
Comment 6 clippka 2002-04-15 11:28:43 UTC
will have a look
Comment 7 clippka 2002-05-22 08:14:57 UTC
Can you please verify if you still have this problem on your configuration with the
latest OOo 1.0 build? We can't reproduce it here.
Comment 8 Unknown 2002-05-23 09:09:36 UTC
I have tried it in the current version "1.0" and it is not present. Howerver, even after
I changed the preferences, I cannot start with "autopilot" opposite to version
"641d"; with version "1.0", I always get a new presentation document irrespective of
the settings!
Comment 9 Unknown 2002-06-01 08:53:29 UTC
Although the program is not crashing. I was not able to launch "Autopilot" as a start.
To launch Autopilot, I had to launch "Presentation", and then
"Menu>File>Autopilot>Presentation". Autopilot did not cause a crash. This does
not mean that the bug is gone but that it is still not possible to reproduce it.

At
this stage and until the issue of Autopilot start is resolved, no further assesment
can be done.

Has anyone tried the new version of Star Office for this bug?

close issue.
