Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 3568
Problems with columns in footer (footer height doubles after reopening)
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:43:23 UTC
1. add to document footer 2. type 8 lines of text 3. select all 4. format../columns.. 2 columns text is divided into 2 columns, but vertical it still takes space of 8 lines. 5. format.../page... footer ok Now, everything looks ok. 6. save 7. close 8. open same document 4 lines text in footer takes space of 8 lines.
I noticed problems with colums in footer too. There is a temparary workaround if I turn of option 'Autofit height' in 'Format->Page->Footer' dialog then footer height is same as you specify after reopeining this document. I think Autofit height algorithm works incorect when columns are used in footer (and maybe in header) I'm attaching sample document.
Created attachment 1270 [details] Document with columns in footer (height of footer is incorrect)
Duplicated on Win NT 4.0 SP6a, OOo 1.0.1.
Reassigned to MRU.
MRU->AMA: Yes, after inserting (and reloading such a file) the section, the height of the footer isn't adjusted. Only if you open the Format.Page dialog and close it with OK. Tested with 644s.
AMA->HB: Columned sections are a problem in many cases.

HB: fixed: sw: core/layout/hffrm.cxx 1.10.54.2
