Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 35540
Allow grouping of document changes by revision
Last modified: 2014-03-23 14:47:28 UTC
I do a lot of technical writing, and keeping track of which change is in which particular revision is important. OOo tracks changes in a flat list. Provide the option to accept and group changes as a particular revision. "Change 2" dated "March 15, 2004", for example. A browsable tree would be good. This change should make it possible to identify which pages were changed in what revision. Add a field (like the page number) that contains the highest change number for that paragraph/page/etc. This field could be used in headers/footers. Also add a "Change Date" field. Having to put in the change numbers in the headers/footers by hand wreaks havoc with page styles. Add a 'by change' entry to the color lists in the Changes settings. This is a big change, and it's rather late in the process, so I don't expect this to make it into 2.0.
reassigned to BH.

Can I also suggest that the user can create "groups" that she can assign changes to. So there actually need to be possible to select what "group" you want to assign changes that are made to. There are some examples in the duplicate.
To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
