This may be similar to 1834 however it happens with a correct CSV file and
opened from the quickstart menu. Choosing open file from quickstart and
choosing a file named "whatever.txt", choosing file type as CSV the document opens
in the text editor and not in the spreadsheet. If the file is named whatever.csv
it opens correctly in the spreadsheet. However, even if named as .txt, since I
have choosen "Text CSV" as file type it should open in the spreadsheet, right?

  Oh, I forgot to say that, if I do the exact same thing from the
"Open" menu item of the spreadsheet application the CSV opens
correctly in the spreadsheet and not the word processor...

strange thing this one. 

I can't reproduce it with my test documents. So please be ao kind and
attach such a file to this Issue.
