Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 3383
unable to load document
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
I am logging this issue on behalf of Fiscus. They cannot load the attached Beantest.sxw document using either OpenOffice or the OOBean. Their environment is as follows: Intel Pentium III Windows NT 4.0 with ServicePack 6 installation JDK 1.3.0; JDK 1.3.1 and JDK 1.3.1_01
Created attachment 1172 [details] staroffice 6.0 writer document
I have tried opening the attached file on a Windows 2000 machinewith the following results. The file opened for me in StarOffice 6.0 but when I opened it using the OOBean (using the binaries from the whiteboard/OOBean project and the SimpleBean example) I got an unrecoverable error from StarOffice. I then opened the file in StarOffice and deleted the images from the file. Now I can open it using the OOBean, so it would seem that loading a document with an embedded image will crash StarOffice if it is displaying in the OOBean, but not if it is displaying normally. Note: The crash also occurs if I paste the image into a Draw or Impress documents and try to open it using the OOBean. The crash does not happen on Solaris.
Reproducible. Internal bug filed (ID=98153) Reassigned to Kai.
I'll take a look.
KA=>AW: the mentioned objects are not graphics but 3d objects instead...
AW: This is fixed in current srx644.
Reopening in order to move it to QA.
Reassigned to me.
OK in OO.org 643c.
Closed.
