Description kai7 2004-09-03 11:36:34 UTC
Sometimes the vertical lines of two neighboring cells are shifted a little bit
against each other (see attached picture and document). It is only a little
shift. I printed it to a PostScript file and imported it into CorelDRAW to
measure the difference. It is about 0.05mm. But you can see it if you print out
the document - it just don't looks nice. It happens mostly when I join cells and
move the line beside the joined cell - like I did in this example. Sometimes it
is just enough to join the cells. I never had it without joing two cells.

Yes, indeed, there are some of those paint errors in OO 1.1.x. With my copy of
1.1.2 I could also see errors like this when navigating in the attached sample.
We have done some bugfixing in this area and I cannot see with OO 2.0 snapshot
build 680m51 (you can get it in the download area) anymore.
Can you please also check?

OK, I tried it with the 680m51 snapshot build. It seems to be a little bit more
diffcult to produce it, but it is still there. I attached another Document,
where you can produce it very easy. Actually it is the document where I first
had to deal with this problem. It is full of tables. I filled these tables with
a script and this script deleted some columns (and rows) in some tables. So the
last column of such tables is wider as it should be. When you open the document
everything seems to be OK. But when you reduce the width of such a column you
get the problem in every table.

I played a little bit around with it. I exported it to a .pdf file for instance.
If you zoom there you can see that the more you come to the right side of the
table the bigger the shift gets. Then I checked the width of every column in the
"Column->Width..." Dialog and compared it with the widths of the line below.
There everything seems to be perfect (but I assume that these numbers a
rounded). Then I entered just a space in the field where you can edit the width
(to get a "change" but not to change the value). After this the shifts got worse.

MRU->FME: Take my shorte sample file; there enter a number and a paragraph break
into an empty cell. The upper row border will become painted with double thickness.

Not sure if this is same issue but following attachment shows several misaligned
vertical columns that I can't fix by dragging with mouse. Table started as 15x3
with several cells merged both horizontally and vertically. Also, column widths
were adjusted from default after merging. Not sure what causes the misalignmnet
and have not always been able to duplicate the problem starting from scratch.
This is with 2.0.2.
