Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 33521
Please add Microsoft Database support to new DB application
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:39:14 UTC
I have downloaded the latest OOo available to the public, and am impressed with the initial setup and introduction of the Database Subcomponent of OpenOffice. However, I am disappointed to see there is no support for loading MS Database files, and that it is still difficult to understand how to set up a new db, if you don't have a background in making them. Please make this as compatible as OOo Writer. Thankyou in advance.
I have downloaded and checked this 1.9.51 on Windows, with MS Office 2003 installed upon it. In Windows, OOo is interoperable with MS Database. Please add MSDB support for Linux. THankyou.
Hi, reassign to User Experience for evaluating. Bye Marc
Is anything happening about this issue? Please say yes ;)
Please, if at all possible, set this for possible inclusion in OOo 2.0.2, since 2.0.1 is coming on too soon to worry about it now. Kind Regards, Matthew
