Description Unknown 2002-03-04 13:47:21 UTC
When I just opened the spreadsheet and the first thing I do is to hit the
spacebar the Xserver crashes

I have tested this on 3 Redhat 7.2 machines, 1 * Intel P3 733, 2 * Athlon XP
2 machines use Matrox dualhead 450 graphic cards, with framebuffering. One
machine has an older Matrox graphic card. All cards having 16 MB of memory

It does not seem to be a X-server fault.

Hi Paul,
is this a default RedHat 7.2 installation?
Which Gnome/(KDE) do you use? Any special Windowmanger, Kernel or glibc?

Hi Paul,
could be a problem of XFree 4.1.x.
To verify, please do the following:
(0. Close OOo if open.)
1. Edit the file <officepath>/programm/soffice
2. Search for the line: #SAL_ANTIALIAS_DISABLE=true; export
SAL_ANTIALIAS_DISABLE
3. Delete the # in this line.
4. Save the file.
5. Start OOo.
6. Now try to reproduce the issue.
What happens?
Best regards, Peter

Resolved by uncommenting (removing #) in the following file
<officepath>/program/soffice

the line

#SAL_ANTIALIAS_DISABLE=true; export SAL_ANTIALIAS_DISABLE
