Description nbezuidenhout 2002-03-02 13:00:58 UTC
Connector lines between drawing objects in an imported MS-Excel document appears
in the upper left corner of the document, and loses its attachment to the
objects. New objects and connector lines copied from a openoffice drawing also
appear in the upper left corner, but moves back into place once the object it is
attached to is moved.

Hi Daniel,

Excel Filter so it seems to be yours.

After a test, the connectors appear at the correct position, but they are not
connected to the objects. This has to be implemented.

Proof of Concept Patch to fix this
Comment 8 john.marmion 2003-02-28 12:24:12 UTC
There are still some issues to consider:
1. I probably need to test this with more complex shapes
2. The connector glue point location appears differently after an
Excel file is exported and re-loaded. But I notice the same behaviour
with a PowerPoint Presentation.

The Test doc shows that this patch will fix all the connector
examples except for the organizational chart on sheet5-1.

Update patch against calc06 CWS
Comment 12 john.marmion 2003-03-25 10:56:08 UTC
I propose to commit this latest patch. It fixes this core issue that
connectors are not attached to objects on import of Excel. There is a
glitch with the organisational 3d chart on sheet 5_1, but I propose
to create a separate issue for this as I am not convinced that is
related to the attachment of connectors. I can successfully attach
connectors to such 3d objects once thi spatch is applied.
