Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 32882
separation of file types, unknown mime types
Last modified: 2021-05-27 19:28:23 UTC
when attaching a file to an issue user must choose a mime filtype from list or enter it by hand. 1. available file types should be sorted & clearly separated (probably with a line) - for example, all oo.org file types in one section, all msoffice files in another, all image in another, archives... etc. 2. there should be a choice "don't know mimetype" or something similar (which probably would be the same as binary, but it should be more visible and clear that it's the type to use, if mimetype not on the list and user doesn't know mime type)
reassigning to support as a suggestion for IZ or successor...
This enhancement will be looked into for IZ's successor PT. For now resolving this this into the FIXED-REMIND bucket.
just curious - what does pt stand for ? p.. tracker ?
Project Tracker, also known as Scarab, which is OSS, on Tigris.org: <http://scarab.tigris.org>. Very cool, useful, stuff. louis
Can we agree to avoid the resolution "remind". I would prefer to continue to use "later". Thanks, Stefan
changing to RESOLVED/LATER.
Updating the milestone .
Reopening to update the status. -Jeeva CollabNet Support
In Project Tracker, most commonly used mime types are listed and also an option 'Auto Detect' is provided for users to choose if they are uncertain of the mime type for the file they are attaching. Marking this as Resolved/Fixed per CollabNet's policy as the feature is available in Project Tracker. -Jeeva CollabNet Support
