A lot of people (here at StarOffice) have the problem that they sometimes (very 
often) can't open documents in the project documentation area.
Doesn't matter if I use IE 6 or Netscape 6.21 (Windows)...

This seems to be a Sun internal issue.
Without proxies (or with another proxy) all is fine.
