Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 3265
Headers & Footers in Word97 .DOC document are wrong
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
Create a document where the headers and footers are different for the 1st page from the others (i.e. a letterhead 1st page and "clean" contination sheets). If the document is saved in native .sxw format, the headers and footers are correct on all pages, but if saved as a Word97 document so that it can be sent to clients, every page has the 1st page header and footer (i.e. the "different 1st page" setting is lost when outputting in Word97 format).
Please attach a document. Reassigned to Michael.
Created attachment 1120 [details] 2 page letter file in .sxw format
MRU: the export does not recognize that the first page style is followed by another one, so the "different first page settings" (or whatever it is called in WinWord) has to be used.
Fixed in head. Code exists that should have made it work in general, but looks like that the most common case of being the page style after the first page got broken at some stage.
