Description abg100 2004-07-05 18:07:45 UTC
The spreadsheet always crashes on exit, destroying any files that

The error messages are:

Error saving the document
file:///usr/local/OpenOffice.org1.1.1/user/basic/script.xlc/: General Error
General input/output error.

and the same error for the file (in the same directory) named dialog.xlc

At first glance, the problem would seem to be that the file permissions are
wrong. The files are owned by root, I am not running as root, and the
permissions are rw-r--r-- for both. Changing the permissions to rw-rw-rw- did
not fix the problem.

It is apperently possible to save and close a file, and then close the
application, to avoid data loss, but for an unsuspecting user, data may be lost.
I'm not certain, and haven't managed to reproduce it yet, but I think that I've
run into cases where I saved a document and then made more changes, and although
it asked me if I wanted to save the file, it destroyed the file completely.

Naturally this only happened with real work, and not yet with any test case... :)

Hi,

I assign this one to the framework group as script.xlc nad dialog.xlc are
located under user/basic and not in the document itself. So this seems to be a
global problem.

Thorsten I think this is a double to 14133 but in no way to Issue 12104. Please
have a closer look at this one.

Frank
