Reassign issue to owner of selected subcomponent.
Taska, we had a special agreement with Kathy, that introduction of
module aliases in CVSROOT/modules are urgent, as they are showstoppers
for the ongoing builds.

I've sent this new request on to our operations group.

Our ops team reports that there seems to be a problem with the patch-
it seems to be in reverse.  They report:
>they reversed the order of the files in the diff; instead of 'diff -c
>originalfile newfile', they did 'diff -c newfile originalfile '

to solved not block the 642 drop.
