If you run OOo without java support, XML (XSLT) based filters won't work. That
is well known.

But the user is still able to invoke these filtes (via file export or XML filter
configuration - test). In some cases, a warning will be displayed, that this
would not work without installed Java.
But after that, the filter will be invoked and crashes OOo.

Easily to reproduce, if you try to export a writer document to xhtml.
