Description moritzmhq 2002-02-05 16:08:13 UTC
I have never been able to install or run OO on my KDE desktop on some machines.
I could install and run OO on them if I X forwarded the output to other machines.

Today I found out, that this behaviour was triggered by my kicker panel (part of
KDE2/KDE3). I had put this panel on the left side. OO would neither run nor
install. If I drag the panel to the bottom SO will run and install just fine.

I guess some error in the desktop area calculation of the OO Gui might be the
cause.

It's a known issue and (hopefully) fixed in the next OOo version.

Known and fixed in current inhouse version.
