Description vdvo 2004-06-04 18:52:51 UTC
MS Office has a checkbox in drawing objects' (lines, circles etc.) properties
for choosing whether the object will be printed or not. This seems to not be
supported in OOo - i.e., the objects are always printed. I can provide a sample
document that demonstrates the problem.

I've encountered this in an XLS spreadsheet that was prepared for easy data
entry by marking the relevant cells with red circles. These circles were set to
display on screen but not print so the user didn't need to care about them.
Unfortunately, when printed from OOo, the circles are there.

I assume that this issue will also be present in Word/Writer and anywhere else
the drawing objects are used.

Hi Bettina,

an enhancement for the drawing layer.

Frank

PS Currently you can achieve the non printing of objects by selecting the
appropriate settings under Format Page Sheet section Print.
