Description valoun 2004-05-31 12:44:04 UTC
Hello,
I tried to install the new testing build of OpenOffice 2.0 (680) under windows
and it offered me these three options:

- install for current user only
- install for all users
- install on a network volume

Windows gave me option to run the installation as Administrator. So who is the
current user then? It would be nice to clarify it by putting current user name
in the brackets both in Linux and Windows, e.g.

- install for the current user only (Jeff Foobar)

so that users are sure what they are doing.

What do you think? Is is a really needed feature? I don't think so. I don't no
if the upcomming UI for installation will offer such an entry.

CJ: The new native installer does not provide this feature in the decribed way.
There is no plan to modify the installer that it fits to the request.

CJ->BH: Please have a look at this RFE, if you see that trhere is a need to do
that please send it back to me.

This has already been implemented, although not perfectly (xref issue 85872).

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
