If ISO codes for a language equals that for a country it is sufficient to
specify the language code only to designate the language version, e.g. de-DE =
de, fr-FR = fr
Please ensure that this rule is not broken for languages that have a country code
*similar but not equal* to the language code, e.g. ja-JP, sv-SE
