Description christoph.lukasiak 2004-05-18 14:09:38 UTC
1. open a document and draw an image button
2. open the control property browser and insert a graphic
3. change property: scale to no
4. draw the image button bigger than the contained graphic
5. print it out

-> the graphics in the image button is printed too small (not: what you get is
what you see)

actually the bitmap is not drawn too small, the pixel size is correct and the bitmap does not get scaled.

Unfortunately that is technically correct, not what the user expects.

@fs,cl: any idea how to handle this one ?

since I was asked here are my 2c for a topic I'm not familiar with.

If I understand correctly what the user expects is a WYSIWYG while printing controls with bitmaps. And from the bug description it looks like the form control always paints its bitmaps in their original pixel size, not taking any device DPI into account.

My first approach would be to fake a 72 DPI Monitor resolution and scale the bitmap while printing. But I suspect the current behavior how to display the image inside the button is random depending on the display settings and resolution and also document zoom level?

If the later is the case this is all broken by design and some non random behavior should be specified.

fs: your turn
