Description Unknown 2002-01-23 17:23:53 UTC
I have diagrams made with SO 6 beta. When I open the document with OpenOffice
641 C, the W2K system crashes and I have to reboot the PC.

Not sure why this one is assigned directly to me. Without any extra
information I'd guess that they are native starwriter documents and so
not a microsoft word import/export problem ?

Either way you must attach the crashing document before any analysis
could be made as to why its crashing.

Joost->Riad:
Such errors are typical indicators for bad graphic drivers which
have problems with their OpenGL implementation. These drivers often
provide just a "gamers" subset of OpenGL but say that they support
OpenGL completely...
I would check out a new driver first and modify the OpenGL settings in
/tools/options in the section OpenOffice/View afterwards. I would play
around with "Optimized output" and "Use OpenGL". If you disable "Use
OpenGL" then the software renderer is used. Otherwise the application
would try to call the graphics driver to use hardware rendering.

btw. which graphics card and graphics driver version do you use ? the
colour resolution might be interesting as well

Maybe It was a bug from SO6 beta to OpenOffice. Let's see later.
