Description eric.savary 2002-01-21 21:56:45 UTC
Hi!
My first name is "Éric" with an accent one the "E". I entered it like this in
my preferences but the "Reassigned" history of issues always displays "Eric".
Could IssueZilla consider also exotic minorities ;-)
Notice: I rated it P5/ENHANCEMENT although it's worth of more than that...

Regards

Reassigned
Comment 2 lsuarezpotts 2002-01-23 08:41:54 UTC
hi, Éric.
IZ has ... issues. My understanding is that it really limits characters to what
Californian geeks speaking English can grok with minimal fuss. There *are* updates
planned.
So. I will take this under my wing and send it to our product manager at collabnet as
a specific request. I'll then tell you the progress of this...
Cheers
Louis

Thanx! :-)

Cheers,
louis

Ok! Too bad!
As this may interest other users in the future, I translate your
answer ;-):
-
Not possible because because the username is used for the e-mail
address (which - of course - cannot contain special chars).
-
Remark -> I don't understand:
- my e-mail address: es@openeoffice.org
- my username is: 'es' or 'Éric Savary' or 'Eric Savary'
- My name in the history is noted "Eric Savary" (without accent) but
the underlaying e-mail address is "es@openeoffice.org"
-> so int this context there is NO connection between the username in
the "------- Additional Comments From #name#..." and the e-mail
address...

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
