Description christian.guenther 2004-04-23 14:56:42 UTC
- In PPT LInes can have a color or a pattern filling.
- in OOo lines can't have a patern filling.
- we need pattern fillings for lines for a better PPT-import

Heck, I would *love* to see it in Writer and box borders as well. I've done all
sorts of "workarounds" for some publicity brochures to get that effect. It is
not easy to do.

@aw: I guess this is first and foremost a drawing layer feature. please take over.

AW: There is a simple workaround with OOo. You can always work with object
geometry by converting the object to contour. Fat lines will get polygons then
and those may get any fill style You like. It's no longer a line, but You can
work geometrically with the geometry.
Besides that (HTH) it would be possible to offer any fill style for lines. I
just checked, but with PPT i can only see some gradient for lines, no pattern...?
