Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 28256
allow Upper/lower case as character style setting
Last modified: 2014-04-21 16:47:00 UTC
in writer I have "Format" "Character" "Font Effects" and there a "Effects" Dropdown with upper/lowercase etc. So I can define a certain text style, i.e. Headline 1, to be displayed always in ppercase letters. In Impress/Presentation this Dropdown is missing. I can only permanently change case using "Format" "Case/Characters". But this cannot be applied to a font style. Please put the case setting into the Font style settings. I think the fact that Powerpoint does not have this feature is no reason for OO to not have it - especially since it seems already implemented (Writer) but ust disabled for Impress?
Reassigned to Bettina.
Two years later ... using OOO-2.0.2 it's still not possible to format text in impress as UPPERCASE, Title Case, lowercase etc. please consider
