Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 27754
Only two pages of a 35 page Word DOC are seen
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
When I load this document in Word 2002 (10.5815.4219) SP-2, I see 35 pages of text. When I load the same file in 680m34, I see two pages of text.

I have tested the document on Win98 with WordViewer and with Word97. There I got a blank first page, a second page with the table of content and a blank third page. So I would say, it has a bad layout. Opening in OOo1.1.1 you can see that the whole text is put into a table. Chance the view to "Online-Layout", than you will see the entire text. OOo1.1.1 cannot handle table-cells which are greater than a page. I don't know whether 680m34 should be able to handle it. To see the whole text in normal view, you can select all and then use in the menu "Tools" the option "Text<->Table".
This strange behaviour is due to the fact, that the table consists of a very large tablecell, which spreads over several pages. OO 1.1.x is not able to process such cells (conceptional problem). This is adressed by issue 2109. be careful: though fix for issue 2109 is already available in current OO 2.0 snapshot build, your document will not work there. the table in this sample document contains some objects (vertical lines); cells breaking to next page are not already enable for such structures. this will follow for future OO 2.0 snapshot builds. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 2109 ***
