Description damjan 2004-04-08 13:00:35 UTC
If I close a KDE session with open OpenOffice documents (Write or Calc), with
the setting save KDE session, when I log back in it sometimes messes up the
names of the documents. (Not to mention it does not put them into correct
virtual desktops.) More specifically, if I had two documets open (though not
modified), say A.sxw and B.sxw. The I close the KDE session and reopen it. I
would get the "restore OO document" dialog. If I say "yes" in both cases I would
get the content of the document A.sxw under the both names A.sxw and B.sxw.

Here comes the most annoying and dangerous part. If I close both of the messed
up documents without saving (choosing discard, because they have been saved
before and not modified after that) the saved file(s) are(is) deleted from hard
disk! I couldn't find it elsewhere.

This happened to me several times already.

I appologize for bothering you if this is a KDE instead of OpenOffice issue.

considering the submit date, what version was "current" when you submitted the
issue ? Could you please check whether this problem still occurs with either OOo
2.0 or a recent version ? There were fixes in the session area that may affect
your problem.

Changing component to gsl.
